Mineral Insulated Thermocouples

Thermocouple cables are the most widely used sensor for temperature measurement in the industrial marketplace.  The construction of the cable guarantees a long conductor life because the sheath and the insulating powder protect the conductors against environmental conditions such as corrosion or scaling. MI thermocouple cables will typically outlast the life expectancy of a SAGD well and even survive mechanical stresses such as bending, twisting or flattening.

Applications:

• Bundled and spooled downhole for temperature monitoring in cased-hole applications
• Bundled and clamped to casing for observation well monitoring
• Packaged in capillary or coiled tubing – Petrospec Sensor-Tube™
• Clamped to production tubing for pump temperature monitoring (ex: ESP, PCP, rod pump)
