Semi-Automated Process Panel

Petrospec Engineering’s instrument gas process panels measure pressure by continuously injecting a small amount of nitrogen gas downhole while measuring the pressure at surface.  The system uses a PLC to determine true bottom-hole pressure via numerous correctional algorithms. 

Two main types of process panel can be designed for client specific applications:

1. the fully-automated panel allows for completely automatic adjustment of flow rates and it monitors the system to prevent plugging of the Bubble-Tubes with no human intervention
2. the semi-automated panel consists of components that are manually controlled to determine flow rates and purge cycles to prevent plugging of the downhole Bubble-Tubes
